10. Chatuchak Market

Although the name sounds like a Pikachu sneeze, this Top 10 Bangkok shopping market is Thailand’s largest with over 8,000 stalls and 27 sections. Nicknamed JJ, this Top Ten SHOPS attraction sells furniture, food, ceramics, antiques, clothing, pet accessories (and pets!), art, plants, and perchance a compass so you can find your way out again. Come prepared with haggling skills and comfortable shoes! Open Fri 6 PM - 12 AM, Sat-Sun 9 AM - 6 PM.

9. Rajawongse Clothier

The extent of the knowledge and skill demonstrated by these Sharp Dressed Men, a father-son duo, is only exceeded by their global reputation. Their customer list includes international diplomats, ambassadors, U.S. presidents, and… you? In addition to the exceptional quality and service perks, your sizes will be stored so that future orders can be shipped to your door. Open Mon-Sat 10:30 AM - 8:30 PM.  
 

8. Siam Paragon

“Paragon” is right - this Top 10 Bangkok shopping mall contains a movie theater, Southeast Asia’s largest (underground) aquarium, an exhibition hall, art gallery, bowling alley, karaoke center, and opera concert hall. There’s actually a shopping part too, with over 250 stores offering haute fashion items, exotic restaurants, and an overall luxurious experience. Open daily 10 AM - 10 PM.

7. Central World Plaza

This Top 10 Bangkok shopping mega-complex is Thailand’s largest shopping mall. Home to two shrines (Erawan and Trimurti), 500 stores, 100 restaurants, 15 cinemas, a supermarket, and an outdoor square, an entire weekend could be spent here before realizing you haven’t actually seen Bangkok yet. Oh, there’s also an ice skating rink in the middle of this tropical paradise, so that makes sense. Open daily 10 AM - 10 PM.

6. Rod Fai Night Market

If you’re looking for other things to do besides Top 10 Bangkok shopping markets… too bad. Bangkok is full of them, and this one is awesome. This outdoor bazaar boasts the most unique and genuine variety of items available so if you’re feeling ready to pull the trigger on that antique Camaro or hipster Japanese cat jacket, this is your time to shine. Plus, the night-owl hours are a welcome respite from the heat! Open Thu-Sun 5 PM - 12 AM.

5. Central Chidlom

The flagship of a larger chain, this Top Ten Bangkok shopping mall contains seven stories of modern opulence and comfortable ambience. Three stories alone are dedicated to men’s and women’s fashion, with other floors offering home goods, toys, books, outdoor gear, and a host of restaurant or cafe options for that mid-race carb load. No theaters or other entertainment venues to distract your shopping focus! Open daily 10 AM - 10 PM.

4. Khao San Road

I don’t always people watch, but when I do, it’s in a location dubbed the “backpacker ghetto.” A slew of affordable and even downright cheap hotels line the short Top 10 Bangkok shopping strip, and you can find anything from backpacker goods, bootleg CDs and DVDs, fake IDs, massage parlors, tattoo shops, market stalls, and many more sketchy or swanky items along this road. Nighttime is basically a block party with bars, music, and bbq’d insects - you read that right.

3. Asiatique

This glamorous former international trade port is now a bustling Top 10 Bangkok shopping destination thanks to hosting over 1,500 boutiques and 40 restaurants inside its replica warehouse. Four districts cater to the masses, selling antiques, jewelry, high-end clothing, high-tech gadgets, and offering a range of casual to luxury dining. Plus, the Thai puppets and Calypso Cabaret are huge crowd-pleasing shows! Open daily 11 AM - 11:30 PM.

2. Terminal 21

Shopping some of the world’s most famous cities can all be done under one roof at this Top 10 Bangkok shopping mega-complex. Each of the 9 floors presents a theme, such as Istanbul, San Francisco, Tokyo, or London, and the decor resembles a modern airport terminal. Also present is a movie theater, supermarket, and a food court. This may be the only terminal where you can travel the world without stepping foot on a plane! Open 10 AM - 10 PM.

1. Floating Markets

Although once upon a time these floating markets were actually useful, now they’re mainly tourist traps - but they’re awesome tourist traps. A true riverside Top 10 Bangkok shopping experience, these boat-shops offer a range of locally grown produce, meals prepared onsite, and merchandise from hats to paintings to silk to candles. Notable markets include Khlong Lat Mayom, Taking Chan, and Kwan-Riam.
